So, I've finally got this together. Sorry for the wait guys.

CHARGEN GO GO GO

High level characters are the name of the game right here - either a Rogue Trader character with a total of 14,500 XP (that's 1500 into Rank 4, btw), or an Ascended Dark Heresy character, with 13,000 XP of normal career advances, a transition package, and 1000 XP of ascended advances). In terms of party make-up, I'm pretty fine with any mix of rogue traders, Inquisitors, astropaths, etc - all characters can have their time in the sun. Pretty much anything from any DH book is fine, too - at this kind of level, what's 'resistance - psychic powers' between friends? Where the two rule systems conflict, we'll go with the Ascension version - so Influence instead of profit, threshold systems for psychic powers instead of tests, etc.

As far as a setting goes, Terra. Your compact, your group of Throne Agents and Explorers, are either mired in bureaucracy , or willingly pilgrims to, the birthplace of humanity, the eye of the storm. Problem is, there isn't exactly a great deal to do - Terra is actually quite a tranquil place - a planet of quiet devotion, huddled, awed pilgrims, and monoliths of silence. The High Lords, Custodes, and other authorities rule with a terrifying exactitude, and generally are harmonious. This limits the possibilities for either ruthless profiteering, burning of heretics, or rooting out of genestealer infestations. After months of wait, you've been contacted by - someone.

The medium of this game's likely to be IRC, probably via an IRC browser client like Mibbit or somesuch (maybe with ServitorBot, maybe not). I know that Fantasy Ground - even Maptool - would be much better, but ridiculous university firewall restrictions mean that they're off, I'm afraid. I'm flexible time-wise - GMT-based, but more than capable of staying up late if that's what's necessary, and should be able to do all but one evening (which evening, I'll inform you when I find out). After watching the MST3K episode "The Deadly Bees" I want to make an Entomologist character for my friends next campaign. Think "The Pain", but more Wizard-like and covered in even more BEEEEEESSSS. Is there any feats/abilities/prestige classes you guys can recommend? I was thinking about going "Tamer of Beasts", especially since he has Animal Mastery, but I can't really find anything that uses swarm enemies to their maximum potential.

I was also thinking Vermin Lord to be good, but I'd rather not be evil. I wanna make this character crazy fun to play as :D
